Noun+Adjective dalam bahasa Inggris – Seperti yang telah kita ketahui kata sifat pada umumnnya/biasanya di tempatkan didepan kata benda namun kata sifat juga bisa di tempatkan di depan kata benda.

Berikut ini beberapa contohnya :

1. kata sifat yang berhubungan dengan UKURAN RUANG & WAKTU.

Contoh : Three inches long, three days ago, ten feet wide, two years younger dan lain-lain 

2.Kata sifat yang menggunakan cardinal numbers.seperti one,two,three,four.

Contoh : lesson five, lesseon one, page two, line ten dan lain-lain 

untuk cardinal number seperti the first, the second, the third … tetap ditempakannya di depan kata benda.

Contoh : the fifth one, the fourth chapter, the second page dan lain-lain

 

3. kata sifat Enough dapat di tempatkan di belakang kata benda

Contoh : Money enough/enough money, time enough/enough time

 

4. Kata sifat yang merupakan satu istilah (set phrase) yang di pengaruhi oleh bahasa francis

Contoh : Court Material (pengadilan militer), Postmaster General( kepala jawatan pos), account receivable (piutang), the president elect ( presiden terpilih ) dan lain-lain

 

5. kata sifat yang berhubungan dengan waktu & tempat.(above, ago, after dan lain-lain.

Contoh : The month after, the station nearby, the paragraph above

 

6. kata sifat yang berakhiran ible dan able dan the past participle di tempatkan setelah kata benda jika kata benda tersebut didahului oleh article ‘the’, ordina number seperti first,last, urutan kejadian seperti next atau bentuk superlative seperti best atau jika kata bendanya di ikuti oleh preposition. 

Contoh :

 >> The man responsible for it is me

 >> What the first planet reachable by human beings?

 >> The job suitable for him is not available

 >> It is the only grammar book available

 >> The next applicant capable of it did not come

 >> It is the best car afferdable

 >> The man injured in the accident was my friend

 

7.kata sifat mengikuti idefinite pronoun seperti something, someone, somebody, anything, anybody

 Contoh :

 >> They have found something strange

 >> Is there anything cheaper?
